WHAT IS OXELTRA® (oxycodone) AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Oxeltra® tablets contain the active ingredient oxycodone which belongs to a class of medicines called opioids, which are ‘pain relievers’.

It has been prescribed for you for the relief of moderate to severe pain and each dose is designed to last over a period of 12 hours.

Your prescriber should have explained how long you will be taking it for, when it is appropriate to stop, and how to do this safely.

Important things to remember about using Oxeltra®

Oxeltra® tablets contain oxycodone, which is an opioid that can cause addiction.  You may get withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking it suddenly.

This medicine has been prescribed for you only.  DO NOT PASS IT ON TO OTHERS AS IT MAY HARM THEM, even if their signs of illness are the same as yours.

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.  Accidental overdose by a child is dangerous and may be fatal.
